Description: Eurofish is an independent, international organization whose objective is to provide a long-term service to the development of fisheries in Central and Eastern Europe. It produces the Eurofish Magazine jointly with a German publisher. It is a monthly publication and has the widest distribution among the fisheries press in Europe. This magazine will be used for dissemination in this project. Eurofish represents the fish processing, aquaculture, and trade sectors and provide also an effective and targeted contribution to the EU enlargement process. The main business activities are Information management and Communication, training and trade development. Eurofish supports trade in fish and fish products by organising conferences, trade fairs, trade missions, other matchmaking activities, and policy fora on provision of market advice and technical assistance. They have participated in EU funded projects including SEAFOODplus, Profet Policy and SustainAqua. Eurofish’s training activities are focused on food safety and quality, good aquaculture practices, marketing and value addition. This comprises the identification of technical assistance and training needs and the provision of assistance to national authorities in the preparation of projects.
