The EcoFishMan project has 14 partners representing four fisheries management policies in Europe. It consists of teen RTD organisations (MATIS, CETMAR, UI, CNR, NOFIMA, UiT, CCMAR, IPIMAR, MSS & UoA), two SMEs (SYN & MAPIX), one International organisation (EUROFISH) and one Non Departmental Public Body (SEAFISH).

SME industrial participation
EcoFishMan includes two SME industrial participants, SYN and MAPIX. One of the dynamic SME participating is Syntesa that comes from an Associated country (Faroe Islands), establishing themselves as worthy players in this highly competitive forum. The other SME, MAPIX come from a Member country (UK) and have a specific task in developing and testing a GIS based decision support system.

The participants – Associated / emerging Associated country participation and European dimension
There is participation of Associated countries and emerging Associated country in EcoFishMan. Four of 14 participants represent two Associated countries (NOFIMA and UiT in Norway; MATIS and UI in Iceland) and one an emerging Associated country (SYN, Faroe Islands). Nine of the 14 partners of the consortium represent Members countries (EUROFISH from Denmark, CETMAR from Spain, CNR from Italy, CCMAR and IPMA from Portugal, MAPIX MSS UoA and SEAFISH from UK). The Northern European participants are: MATIS, EUROFISH, SYN, UI, NOFIMA and UiT. MAPIX, MSS, UoA and SEAFISH central and CETMAR, CNR CCMAR and IPIMAR the southern European area.
